Tezzbuzz Desk- Taking a big decision in the politics of Assam, Bharatiya Janata Party and NDA Legislative Party have elected Himanta Biswa Sarma as their leader. With this it has been decided that he will take oath as Chief Minister on May 12 at 11 am.
The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the grand swearing-in ceremony as the chief guest. According to party sources, this program is being considered an important occasion in the political history of the state.
The decision was taken at the BJP legislature party meeting, which was presided over by senior party leaders. In this meeting, JP Nadda formally announced the name of Himanta Biswa Sarma. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was appointed as an observer for the meeting.
It is noteworthy that Himanta Biswa Sarma had recently resigned from the post of Chief Minister on May 6 and took charge as the acting Chief Minister. Now he is going to take charge of the state once again. This will be his second consecutive term as Chief Minister, who is expected to bring political stability to the state and take forward the development agenda.
Political analysts believe that in the new term the government will face big challenges like development, employment and strengthening the infrastructure.
