Tezzbuzz Desk- A new chapter was added to the politics of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, when Vijay took charge of the state by taking oath as the Chief Minister. Thousands of supporters were present in this grand ceremony held amidst huge public support and political discussions.

The Governor administered the oath of office and secrecy to Vijay at the swearing-in ceremony held at Jawahar Lal Nehru. With this, the government of his party TVK officially took charge.

Along with the Chief Minister, nine MLAs also took oath as ministers. Among these, the name of N. Anand was prominent. Anand, MLA from Tyagaraja seat, is also the general secretary and spokesperson of the party. After taking oath, he said that the new government will work with full force to live up to the expectations of the people.

At the same time, the party’s chief strategist Aadhav Arjuna also took oath as minister. Arjun, MLA from Villivakkam seat, has previously been the general secretary of VCK and is considered an important face of the party’s election strategy.

There was tremendous enthusiasm among the supporters during the ceremony. Security was tight across Chennai and many film stars, political leaders and industry personalities attended the event.

Political analysts believe that Vijay’s government will face big challenges like strengthening employment, education, industry and infrastructure. However, his supporters are hopeful that popular actor-turned-politician Vijay will bring a new political style and administrative changes in the state.
