8th Pay Commission : The 8th Pay Commission, set up for central government employees, has expedited the process of finalizing its recommendations. The Pay Commission has started a series of meetings in different parts of the country. During these meetings, discussions are being held with various employee organizations and their demands are being seriously considered. The Pay Commission has also provided an opportunity to central government employees and pensioners to present their demands. How questions, what are the details?
In the list of nine questions, the question to allowances is ranked second. In the list of allowances mentioned on the 8th Pay Commission website, ‘DA’ stands for Dearness Allowance. In addition, citizens may submit their queries, demands or suggestions regarding eligibility, additional duties or allowances to work done on holidays to the Pay Commission.
Present demands for any other allowances
Central Government employees can express their views before the Pay Commission regarding deputation or posting, housing i.e. house rent allowance/HRA as well as allowances to risk, travel, sports, uniform and ‘running staff’. Similarly, demands may be raised for allowances to capacity building, knowledge enhancement or training, as well as any other allowances. Any objections, demands or suggestions regarding any of these allowances may be submitted in writing to the Pay Commission within a limit of 10,000 characters.
Last date is 31st May
The deadline for submission of demands or suggestions to the Pay Commission is 31st May. If you want to take your demands to the pay commission, first you need to visit the official website. On this website, this facility is available under the heading 8CPC Memorandum Submission. Central Government Employees, Defense Force Personnel, All India Services Officers, Judicial Officers, Pensioners and Employees Unions can submit their views on this website.
Additionally, a separate option has been made available for officers from various Ministries, Departments and Union Territories. Four categories have been defined on the online portal. The first of these categories is reserved for Central Government employees and pensioners. Under this first category, central government employees have an opportunity to express their views till May 31.
