Young cricket icons Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shafali Verma have been handed notices by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) recently. TheIndian batting duo was given notice for missing a regulatory dope test. According to a report carried by India Today, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also been kept in the loop about the issue.
Both players now have to give an explanation for missing the tests. As per the rules, players who come under the NADA’s Registered Testing Pool (RTP) have to notify the desired location and time to undergo the tests. This will be followed by a Doping Test Officer (DTO) meeting the athletes to collect their samples.
India Today also reported that Verma’s test was scheduled for 7th November 2025, with Jaiswal’s test on 17th December 2025. The agency had asked the player to explain their absence in February this year, but they haven’t heard back yet. As per the rules, athletes who fail to disclose their location for the dope tests three times within 12 months can face suspension for up to two years.
