RPSC SI Recruitment 2021 Exam Cancelled: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has cancelled the 2021 Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination. This decision brings renewed hope to the lakhs of candidates who had long been demanding transparency and fairness in this recruitment process. It is worth noting that questions regarding this 2021 Sub-Inspector recruitment exam had been raised right from the very beginning. Allegations of paper leaks, the use of dummy candidates, and various other irregularities had severely tarnished the credibility of the examination.
Following a police investigation and several arrests, the government has now decided to completely annul the previous exam and conduct a fresh one in order to uphold the integrity of the process. In light of this, let us find out when this examination will now be held and who will be eligible to appear for it.
**Who Will Get the Opportunity to Appear for the Exam?**
The RPSC has clarified that this does not constitute a new recruitment drive; consequently, fresh applications will not be accepted. Only those candidates who had participated in the original 2021 examination will be eligible to appear for the re-examination.
Only those candidates who appeared for *both* papers (Paper-I and Paper-II), which were conducted between September 13 and September 15, 2021, are eligible.
If a candidate had filled out the application form but did not appear for the examination, they will not be eligible this time around.
Candidates who appeared for only one of the papers will also not be granted the opportunity to appear for the re-exam.
A total of 3,83,097 candidates have been deemed eligible to appear for this re-examination.
**Exam to be Held in September 2026; Corrections Accepted from May 16**
The Commission has indicated that the new examination is likely to be conducted in September 2026. Since five years have elapsed since the initial recruitment process began, candidates are being provided with an opportunity to make corrections to their application forms.
The correction window is scheduled to open on May 16. During this period, candidates will be able to rectify errors related to their address, personal details, and supporting documents by visiting the RPSC portal.
