Kolkata: Today a new chapter is going to be added in the politics of West Bengal. For the first time, the Bharatiya Janata Party government is going to be formed in the state with full majority and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reached Kolkata to witness this historic moment. Subhendu Adhikari will take oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal in a grand ceremony held at the Brigade Parade Ground today. This victory is being considered as ‘Bengal victory’ for BJP, and that is why the swearing-in ceremony has been made very huge.
As soon as CM Yogi’s plane landed at Kolkata Airport, the enthusiasm of the supporters and party workers present there was worth seeing. Yogi Adityanath was given a grand welcome amid slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Actually, Yogi’s coming to Bengal is not just a formality; He was one of the biggest star campaigners of BJP during the Bengal elections and the crowd gathered in his rallies had given an indication of the change in the electoral wind.
Gathering of veterans at Brigade Parade Ground
The Brigade Parade Ground of Kolkata is seen colored in saffron today. Senior leaders from all over the country are arriving to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Shubhendu Adhikari. The presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President Nitin Nabin will enhance the dignity of this program. Apart from this, invitations have been sent to the Chief Ministers of all the 21 NDA ruled states. It is being told that this show of strength is also a big message for the 2029 general elections.
UP CM’s ‘super’ strike rate
The contribution of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in this victory of Bengal is being considered very important. In fact, during the election campaign, Yogi had measured every nook and corner of Bengal. He held 19 public meetings and three big road shows across the state. Talking about the figures, out of the 22 seats on which Yogi Adityanath had campaigned in Bengal, BJP has won on 19 seats. It is his excellent strike rate that today the workers of Bengal are desperate to see him.
‘Mini Uttar Pradesh’ gathered in Kolkata
The special thing about this ceremony is that the entire political army of Uttar Pradesh has participated in it. Along with CM Yogi, both the Deputy Chief Ministers of UP, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak have also come to be a part of this historic moment. Actually, BJP has specially invited those 54 big leaders of Uttar Pradesh, who had worked hard on the ground of Bengal during the elections. The process of leaders reaching Kolkata had started from Friday itself.
BJP leaders say that the party forming the government for the first time in Bengal is like a dream come true. There is tremendous enthusiasm among the workers and elaborate security arrangements have been made around the Brigade Parade Ground. According to local people, such a political gathering has been seen in Kolkata after years.
After swearing in, Subhendu Adhikari will take over the work with his cabinet, but at present the eyes of the whole world are fixed on the stage in Kolkata, where BJP is going to celebrate its biggest election victory till date.
