Electric Scooter: The electric two-wheeler market in India is expanding rapidly and meanwhile, Ola Electric has given a big update about its new Ola S1 X+ 5.2 kWh. The company has announced that this electric scooter has received official certification under CMVR 1989 from ICAT Manesar. With this, it has become the longest range electric scooter in Ola’s mass-market portfolio.
320KM range and strong performance
- The biggest feature of the new Ola S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is its 320 km IDC certified range. The company claims that this scooter will prove to be a great option for customers traveling long distances.
- The scooter has an 11kW mid-drive motor, which is capable of giving a top speed of 125 km/h. It also has integrated MCU support, which provides smoother and better riding experience.
In-house Bharat Cell Technology
Ola Electric has used indigenous 4680 Bharat Cell battery technology in the new scooter model. According to the company, this battery has been developed in India and aims to reduce the dependence on imports in EV manufacturing. The new battery technology comes with high energy density and advanced thermal management system, providing better range and increased safety.

Ola Electric has not yet revealed all the features of the new scooter. Ola believes that this long range scooter will help in increasing the pace of EV adoption especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
