In Rajnandgaon district's Dongargarh, police efforts to combat anti-social elements and illegal activities are intensifying. During a late-night checking operation, Dongargarh police raided a farmhouse where several youths were found participating in a hookah party. The officers caught six individuals consuming hookah under dubious circumstances. Subsequently, legal and preventive measures were taken against all involved under the COTPA Act.
Details of the Operation
This operation was carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma, with additional oversight from Additional Superintendent of Police Kirtan Rathore and SDOP Kesari Nandan Nayak. The police team received information about a gathering at a farmhouse where youths were reportedly engaging in a hookah party and involved in suspicious activities.
Police Action Taken
Acting on the tip-off, the police swiftly moved to the location. They apprehended Vishal Yadav, Babu Vishwakarma, Bhupendra Nayak, Rohan Yadav, Daksh Thakur, and Taran Nishad. Hookah materials were also seized from the scene. The police provided guidance to all the youths and proceeded with actions under the COTPA Act.
