Who is Nida Khan and What Are the Allegations?
According to police investigations and nine filed FIRs, Nida Khan wielded considerable influence in the office. Employees were reportedly so intimidated by her that they hesitated to voice their concerns. Victims claim she defended team leaders who engaged in inappropriate behavior towards female staff.
Teaching Women to Wear Burqas
One of the most shocking revelations is that Nida Khan instructed female employees on how to wear a burqa. She pressured them to adhere to Islamic customs and dress codes. A female victim recounted that this was not merely advice but a form of coercion, with Khan demonstrating how to wear the burqa.
Organized Religious Conversion Activities
The investigation led by Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik uncovered a group of seven male suspects within the company, all in senior positions, who allegedly exploited their authority to target employees.
Forced Prayer and Dietary Restrictions
One male employee reported being forced to wear a cap and pray, with photos taken as evidence. Complaints indicate that some staff were pressured to consume non-vegetarian food, perform prayers against their will, and adopt religious symbols.
Inciting Extremism via WhatsApp
The investigation also highlighted a person named Imran, reportedly linked to Malaysia, who shared incendiary speeches and extremist videos through a WhatsApp group, which Nida Khan was part of.
Dismissive Attitude Towards Complaints
Female employees alleged that they were frequently subjected to lewd comments and unwanted attention. When one victim raised her concerns, a female officer dismissed her by saying, 'Such things happen in corporate settings; just forget about it.'
Using Sexual Harassment as a Weapon
The accused reportedly weaponized sexual harassment, coercing some women into physical relationships under the pretense of marriage, while others were mentally tormented through personal remarks.
Undercover Operations by Police
Given the severity of the situation, Nashik police adopted a unique strategy by deploying four female constables disguised as housekeeping staff to monitor activities within the campus. These officers secretly gathered evidence, leading to a series of arrests.
Arrests Made So Far
To date, eight individuals have been arrested in connection with the Nashik TCS case involving conversion and sexual harassment, including seven men and one female operations manager. However, the main accused, HR manager Nida Khan, remains at large. The SIT is investigating whether this racket received funding from abroad and is also examining patterns of preferential hiring for specific communities.
