The actress, known for Student of the Year 2, Marjaavaan, Tadap, Ek Villain Returns and Heropanti 2, is all set to make her debut at the prestigious film festival. She will join the esteemed list of Bollywood stars who have made their presence felt on the global stage. Ever since the news was confirmed earlier this month, fashion enthusiasts and her followers have been speculating about what she will wear for her grand debut. Taking to her Instagram Stories on Friday, Tara shared a picture of Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor. The late icon looked stunning in her signature style, wearing a plunging-neckline dress paired with a dazzling diamond set.
Sharing the photo, she wrote, "Forever inspiration... For next week, in particular. It's happeniiiiing!!!!"
Looks like we already know what Tara has in store for us! Expect old-world charm, vintage Hollywood hair, a statement necklace, and of course, a jaw-droppingly chic outfit.
Bollywood At Cannes
has always held a special place for Indian cinema, with many stars marking their presence at the prestigious festival over the years. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is a regular there, is often celebrated as the "Queen of Cannes." Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut and Sonam Kapoor have also represented the country on the global red carpet. Over time, several others, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Richa Chadha, Janhvi Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anurag Kashyap, Sara Ali Khan and Mrunal Thakur, have also attended the festival. And now, Tara is adding to the growing Indian presence.
Work Front
Meanwhile, Tara is set to appear next in Yash’s much-awaited gangster drama .Although it was earlier planned for a theatrical release next month, the film has now been postponed again.
Explaining the delay, Yash conveyed that as Indian cinema is currently gaining stronger global recognition, there is a shared responsibility among filmmakers and actors to maintain high standards. He added that their decision should be seen as a chance to refine the film so it can make the intended impact worldwide.
The actioner also stars Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi. It is directed by Geetu Mohandas.
