Aam Janata Unnayan Party chief Humayun Kabir has announced on Friday that he will sit in the opposition. Will not form any alliance with the government. He says that BJP has more numbers than majority. They have no need for alliance. Humayun Kabir has won the elections from two assembly seats. On Friday he also announced to vacate one seat. Humayun will vacate the Rezinagar assembly seat. Will field his son here.

Humayun Kabir said, ‘No question of alliance arises. I have won both the seats. There is no question of alliance. One will have to resign. The sooner the by-elections are held on both the seats, the better. I will make my son a candidate from Rejinagar seat.

Modi ji should take everyone along: Humayun Kabir

Humayun Kabir further said that I will sit in the opposition. What is the need for alliance? He got 207 seats. With fruition it will reach 208. I have no greed. I will sit in the opposition with whatever right I have in the assembly. There should be no oppression on the people of Murshidabad and my state. If we follow what Modi ji is saying that ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’ then we have no problem.

‘Where was Akhilesh during the campaign?’

When Humayun Kabir was asked about Akhilesh Yadav’s meeting with Mamata Banerjee, he said, ‘Where was Akhilesh Yadav when the campaign was going on for two months? He should have come and supported then. Abhishek Banerjee drinks tea at Rahul Gandhi’s house early in the morning, so why did Rahul Gandhi field candidates against Mamata on 294 seats?

TMC was limited to only 80 seats

Humayun Kabir won the election from Rezinagar assembly seat by a margin of 58876 votes. He achieved success from Nauda seat by 27943 votes. Humayun had fielded his candidates on about 22 seats. However, it had to face defeat on the remaining 20 seats. Let us tell you that voting was held in two phases for a total of 294 assembly seats in West Bengal. After the election results came, BJP won maximum 207 seats. Trinamool Congress was reduced to 80 seats. Congress won 2 seats.
