Thunderstorm, High-Velocity Wind To Lash 6 Odisha Districts This Afternoon

Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thunderstorm and high-velocity wind is likely to lash at least six districts of Odisha on Friday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
In a nowcast warning issued at 2.10 pm, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said that some parts of Mayurbhanj, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Kandhamal districts are likely to be affected by thunderstorm and rain.
Moderate thunderstorms, rain with surface wind speed reaching 50 – 60 kmph along with possibility of hail gusting to 70 kmph is likely to occur in these districts over the next two hours.
