A tense moment between LSG skipper Nicholas Pooran and Krunal Pandya caught the eyes of everyone during the IPL 2026 encounter between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow, on Thursday.
The event unfolded in the 11th over when Krunal rolled out a short one at Pooran. The LSG batter nudged the ball down the ground for a single after the ball was short of the long-on fielder. When Pooran arrived at the other end, Krunal walked up to him, and exchanged words for a few seconds.
Though the encounter in the middle of the ground was intense, no untoward incidents were noted during the game. However, after the match, a video clip doing rounds in the internet showed the LSG batter grabbing the collar of the RCB player, while he seemed to be saying something.

The clip soon drew fans to the comment section, where they claimed it to be a normal chat between two friends, that was apparently taken out of context. Pooran was later seen hugging and shaking hands with the all-rounder, which eventually eased up the conversation between them.

Mitchell Marsh Powers LSG To Big Total
Talking about the encounter, LSG put up 209 for the loss of 3 wickets after rain interrupted the proceedings multiple times. Batting first, it was the onslaught of Mitchell Marsh that dominated the game. Marsh hammered 111 runs off only 56 deliveries, and took his team to a mammoth total of 209.
Despite multiple rain interruptions, Marsh kept his aggressive stance and hammered boundaries and sixes against all the RCB bowlers. After the innings break, due to the reduction of overs caused by rain, the DLS target for RCB was set to 213 in 19 overs.
The victory was significant for LSG, as it also marked the end of their six-match losing streak.
Prince Yadav, Pant and LSG Hold Nerve
LSG has had the dream start withMohammed Shami dismissing Jacob Bethell in the very first over. Prince Yadav then gets one past Virat Kohli in the third delivery with brilliant bowling.
RCB lose 2 wickets for 9 and Devdutt Padikkal and the skipper Rajat Patidar save the day with a 95 runs stand.
Padikkal went on to add 34, and Rajat scored 61. LSG skipper Rishabh Pant made an attacking move by bringing back Prince Yadav to bowl, which brought RCB back under pressure again.
Young pace bowler dismissed Padikkal through a stunning caught and bowled and then got the better of Jitesh Sharma in the very same spell. Rajat departs through a stunning running catch by Aiden Markram, who brought RCB in deep trouble.
Late fireworks from Tim David and Krunal Pandya and Romario Shepherd were not enough to help RCB win by 9 runs. Krunal remained not out on 28. Shepherd got 23 not out and it was the calm spinner Digvesh who gets through a crucial final over.
