Cristiano Ronaldo has officially become the first footballer in history to score at least 100 goals in three different top-tier national leagues: Premier League, La Liga and Saudi Pro League.
The Portuguese superstar reached the historic milestone during Al Nassr’s 4-2 victory over Al Shabab on Thursday. In the 75th minute of the match, Sadio Mane broke down the left flank and delivered a precise pass into the box. Ronaldo capitalized on the opportunity, volleying the ball into the far corner to extend Al Nassr’s lead to 3-1.
This goal marked Ronaldo’s 100th in just 105 appearances in the Saudi Pro League, which translates into an astonishing scoring rate of one goal every 91 minutes. The achievement cements his legacy as a lethal striker, adding to his 103 goals for Manchester United in England and 311 goals for Real Madrid in Spain. The veteran striker also boasts 81 goals in Italy’s Serie A with Juventus and three for Portuguese club Sporting CP.

Ronaldo is also the first player to win the Golden Boot in four different national leagues. His collection began in the 2007-2008 Premier League season and continued through his dominance in Spain and Italy. His statistical peak came during the 2014-2015 La Liga campaign, where he registered a staggering 48 goals in 35 matches, averaging 1.4 goals per game.
Since moving to the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo has secured the top scorer award in each of his last two seasons. In the current 2025-2026 campaign, he has already recorded 26 goals. He currently trails slightly behind Julian Quinones, who has 29 goals, and Ivan Toney, who leads the race with 30.
The victory against Al Shabab helped Al Nassr solidify their position at the top of the Saudi Pro League table. They currently sit at 82 points, five points ahead of fierce rivals Al Hilal, who still have one game in hand. With only two rounds remaining, the upcoming head-to-head clash between Al Nassr and Al Hilal on May 12 is considered the decisive match of this season.
Al Nassr are also preparing for the AFC Champions League Two final against Japanese club Gamba Osaka on May 16. These upcoming finals are a chance for Ronaldo to finally secure his first official team trophies since joining Al Nassr.
