PM Kisan: Might I get a notice from Income Tax Department in case of ₹2000? These 5 people should leave their attachment immediately

PM Kisan Alert: The time for the 23rd installment of PM Kisan is approaching. The government is taking strict action against those people who are taking advantage of the scheme despite not being 'farmers'. If you are also doing this, then stop it immediately, otherwise a notice from the Income Tax Department may come to your home.

'Farmers' paying taxes

If you do farming but at the same time you or any member of your family pays income tax (Income Tax Payers), then you are not entitled to this scheme. The government now has digital data, which has made it very easy to identify tax payers. If such people are caught taking installments, they will have to return all the money with interest.

Both husband and wife are taking benefits

This is a very common mistake. According to the rules, only one person from a farming family (husband, wife and children) can get an installment of ₹ 2000. If money is coming into the accounts of both husband and wife, then stop it immediately. The government is conducting physical verification of such 'suspected' cases.

Government posts or pensioners

If you are a retired employee and your monthly pension is more than ₹ 10,000, then you are out of this list. Apart from this, doctors, engineers, lawyers or people holding any constitutional post cannot avail the benefits of this scheme.

New purchase of land

According to the rules, those who have got the land in their name after February 1, 2019 (except inheritance), may face difficulty in getting the benefits of this scheme. The government has put a temporary hold on such new cases until they are fully investigated.

Farmers with incomplete e-KYC

If you are an eligible farmer, but you have not yet completed your e-KYC or have not linked your bank account with Aadhaar, your 23rd installment will be stuck. The government has made it clear that now not a single rupee will be transferred without e-KYC.

PM Kisan: How to avoid trouble?

If you are availing the benefit of this scheme by mistake, then you can go to PM-Kisan portal and choose 'Voluntary Surrender' option. With this you can avoid legal action and recovery notices in future.
