West Bengal Board Class 10 Results 2026: Key Details and How to Check

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is set to announce the results for the Madhyamik (Class 10) examinations today, May 8, 2026, at 9:30 AM. This year, the exams were conducted in February, with a significant number of students participating and now eagerly awaiting their results.


Students can check their results on the official websites: wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.wb.gov.in. To facilitate access, additional platforms will also be available for downloading mark sheets.


Steps to Check Your Result

Follow these steps to view your result on the WBBSE website:



  • Visit the official websites: wbresults.nic.in or wbbse.wb.gov.in.

  • Click on the 'WBBSE Madhyamik Result 2026' link on the homepage.

  • Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth on the redirected page.

  • Click the 'Submit' button to view your result.

  • Download the result and print it for future reference.


  • Accessing Your Marksheet via DigiLocker

    Students can also retrieve their digital marksheet through DigiLocker:



  • Download the DigiLocker app or visit digilocker.gov.in.

  • Log in if you have an account, or sign up using your Aadhaar number.

  • Go to the 'Education' section and select 'West Bengal Board of Secondary Education'.

  • Choose 'Class 10 Marksheet' and fill in your Roll Number and Year of Examination.

  • Your marksheet will be saved in your DigiLocker account.


  • Checking Results via SMS

    For those facing internet issues, results can also be accessed via SMS:



  • Open the message box on your mobile device.

  • Type: WB10 Roll Number (e.g., WB10 1234567).

  • Send this message to 5676750.

  • You will receive your result via SMS.


  • Verifying Your Marksheet

    After downloading the results, students should verify the following details on their provisional marksheet:



    • Student's Name

    • Roll Number

    • Father's/Guardian's Name

    • Date of Birth

    • School Name

    • Marks obtained in each subject

    • Total Marks

    • Pass/Fail Status


    In case of any discrepancies, students should promptly contact their school authorities.


    Passing Marks Requirement

    To successfully pass the Class 10 examination, students must achieve a minimum of 25% marks in each subject, including both written and practical assessments. Students who do not pass in one or two subjects will have the opportunity to take a supplementary examination, with details to be provided by the Board after the results are announced.


    Obtaining the Original Marksheet

    The marksheet obtained online or through DigiLocker is provisional. Students will receive their original marksheets from their respective schools a few days after the results are declared. The Board will send the mark sheets to the schools, and students can collect them thereafter.
