Gold prices remain strong in Mumbai and Kolkata also. Here the price of 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,53,010 per 10 grams and the price of 22 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,40,260 per 10 grams. At the same time, gold is being sold the most expensive in Chennai. Here the price of 24 carat gold has reached Rs 1,53,840 per 10 grams and the rate of 22 carat gold has reached Rs 1,41,020 per 10 grams. Even in Pune and Bengaluru, gold prices remain at par with Mumbai. In these cities, 24 carat gold is being sold at Rs 1,53,010 per 10 grams and 22 carat gold is being sold at Rs 1,40,260 per 10 grams.

Not only gold, there is a strong rise in the price of silver too. On the morning of May 8, the price of silver reached Rs 2,70,100 per kg. Earlier, the price of silver in Delhi bullion market had jumped by Rs 7,000 to Rs 2,61,500 per kg. In January this year, silver had also crossed the level of Rs 4 lakh per kg. Talking about the international market, spot gold is trading at $ 4,734.28 per ounce and spot silver is trading at $ 81.35 per ounce.
