More than 1400 villagers participated in the camps organized in Ulkhar and Bade Navapara of Sarangarh under the Good Governance Tihar 2026 of Chhattisgarh. Problems were resolved quickly by providing benefits of health, ration card, pension, housing and other schemes.
Raipur. Through the ambitious initiative of Chhattisgarh Government 'Good Governance Tihar 2026', the distance between the administration and the general public seems to be continuously reducing. Under this campaign, special camps were organized in village Ulkhar of Sarangarh block and village Bade Navapara of Barmkela development block. More than 1400 villagers participated in these camps and took advantage of the government schemes and services. The main objective of these camps was to take government schemes directly to the villagers and ensure quick resolution of their problems. Villagers came in large numbers and registered their demands and complaints.
Hundreds of applications received in Ulkhar and Bade Navapara camps
A total of 638 applications were received in the camp organized in village Ulkhar. In the larger Navapara camp, 836 villagers submitted applications for solutions to various problems and demands. The administration took all the applications seriously and started the process of quick disposal of them. The villagers put forward the problems related to revenue, ration card, housing, pension, health and other public welfare schemes before the officials.
Collector inspected the camps, gave instructions to the officials
The Collector inspected both the camps closely and instructed the concerned officers that all the applications should be resolved on priority basis. He also inspected the stalls set up by various departments. During the inspection, an attempt was made to find out in which areas the villagers were facing the most problems, so that permanent solutions to those problems could be found in future.
Received benefits of many schemes including health, ration card and pension
During the camp, a free health check-up camp was organized by the Health and AYUSH Department, where the villagers were examined and necessary advice was given. The Fisheries Department distributed nets to the needy beneficiaries. Disability certificate and pension related facilities were made available on the spot by the Social Welfare Department. The Revenue Department distributed Kisan Booklet and B-1 documents. The Food Department provided new ration cards to the eligible beneficiaries.
Many families' dream of owning a house has been fulfilled through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Sanction and completion certificates were distributed to the eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. With this, the dream of many families of having a permanent house came true. The villagers appreciated this initiative of the government and called it very beneficial.
Baby shower and Annaprashan program became the center of attraction
Along with administrative activities, the camp also remained the center of social concerns. Pregnant women were given baby showers by the Women and Child Development Department and gifts were distributed to them. Apart from this, Annaprashan Sanskar was also performed for small children, due to which the atmosphere of the program remained emotional and enthusiastic.
Chhattisgarhi cuisine and water conservation oath increased attraction
With the aim of promoting local culture, special stalls of Chhattisgarhi cuisine were set up in the camp, which attracted the attention of the villagers. People enjoyed traditional dishes. Awareness regarding environmental protection was also shown during the program. The people present collectively took the oath of water conservation and gave the message of saving water.
Public representatives and departmental employees together made the event successful
Public representatives of the area, administrative officers and employees of various departments worked together in this successful event. Due to collective efforts, the benefits of public welfare schemes of the government could easily reach the people living at the last mile.
