Kisan Credit Cards were distributed and renewed to the farmers in the Good Governance Tihar Camp organized at village Halbaras of Dantewada. Farmers told that from KCC they are getting easy loans, financial assistance for modern farming and animal husbandry.
Raipur. 'Good Governance Tihar', organized with the aim of bringing the idea of good governance to the ground in the district, has brought a new message of prosperity for the farmers. In the public problem solving camp organized in village Halbaras, the problems of a large number of farmers were solved on the spot. Besides, they were also provided direct benefits of important schemes of the government.
The biggest achievement of this camp was the distribution and renewal of Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), which has further strengthened the way for farmers to get easy financial assistance for farming.
Farmers happy with Kisan Credit Card distribution
During the camp, happiness was clearly visible on the face of Mr. Hiradhar Bhagarathi, a progressive farmer of village Halbaras, after receiving the Kisan Credit Card. Expressing his gratitude towards the government and the district administration, he said that he has more than 7 acres of fertile agricultural land, but due to lack of resources, he had to face many problems in farming.
He said that now after getting Kisan Credit Card, they will be able to easily get loan from the bank. With this, they will be able to purchase fertilizers, improved seeds and modern agricultural equipment on time. Shri Bhagarathi expressed confidence that now they will move towards cultivation of cash crops along with traditional paddy cultivation. This will increase their income and they will also be able to adopt modern farming techniques.
Farmers got relief from moneylenders through KCC scheme
Farmer Shri Naval Singh Rana, who came for renewal of Kisan Credit Card, also described this scheme as very beneficial for the farmers. He said that Kisan Credit Card is no less than a boon, because it has provided relief to the farmers from the pressure of high interest and debt from moneylenders.
Mr. Rana said that apart from farming, he has also obtained loans for allied businesses like animal husbandry through this scheme. Due to this their financial condition has improved a lot. He says that by getting timely financial assistance, farmers are able to meet their needs respectfully and move towards becoming self-reliant.
Getting direct benefits of schemes through Good Governance Tihar
The district administration is continuously ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person of the society in a simple and transparent manner. This camp organized in Halbaras emerged as a living example of this. The administrative officials in the camp listened seriously to the problems of the farmers and took necessary action to solve them. This has further strengthened the confidence of the villagers in the administration.
