New Delhi: Even after 365 days, Pakistan and its terrorist organizations have yet to recover from the shock of Operation Sindoor. On one hand, the Pakistani government is worried about the water supply cut off during Operation Sindoor. On the other hand, fearing airstrikes, prominent terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar are still hiding underground. No photographs of these terrorists have been publicly released in the past year. Masood Azhar is the head of Jaish-e-Mohammed, while Hafiz Saeed is the head of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Both are considered Pakistan’s most prominent terrorists. Their hideouts were the most heavily attacked during Operation Sindoor.
During Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army destroyed 10 hideouts belonging to Lashkar, Jaish, and Hizbul Mujahideen. These terrorist organizations have yet to recover from this. Following Operation Sindoor, Lashkar and Jaish announced plans to re-establish their terrorist bases, but have yet to achieve success.
Moreover, no concrete information has emerged about Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar in the past year. In contrast, prominent Lashkar and Jaish commanders are being killed by unidentified assailants. Recently, Hamza, a co-founder of Lashkar, was assassinated in Lahore.
Lashkar and Jaish are also in a precarious financial situation. Following Operation Sindoor, the Pakistani government announced a relief amount of 140 million rupees to Masood’s family. In fact, 14 members of Masood’s family were killed in the Indian strike. In addition to these two terrorist organizations, Hizbul Mujahideen is also in a weak position. Hizbul commander Sajjad Ahmed was recently assassinated.
