The lead actors of the forthcoming comedy film 'Pati Patni Aur Woh Do'—Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh—recently provided insights into the film's unique perspective on relationships.
They elaborated on their roles, highlighting how the narrative skillfully intertwines humor with emotional resonance.
Ayushmann, a long-time admirer of the 1978 classic 'Pati Patni Aur Woh,' expressed his enthusiasm, stating, 'As a child, I loved singing the song ‘Thande thande paani se nahana chahiye.’ That melody inspired me to take part in this project. When the first installment was released in 2019, featuring my brother Aparshakti Khurana, I was captivated. It felt like a natural progression for me.' He described his character as a 'trapped husband,' noting that audiences will find humor in his dilemmas. 'The film is filled with situational comedy, and viewers will appreciate it more once they see it,' he remarked.
Ayushmann also commended his fellow cast members—Sara, Wamiqa, and Rakul—as well as director Mudassar Aziz, stating, 'Collaborating with them was a delightful experience. Mudassar’s writing is exceptional in this film.' The movie is set to hit theaters on May 15.
