UNICEF representative Ms. Cynthia McCaffrey paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma at the Chief Minister’s residence today. During this, detailed and meaningful discussions were held on various topics to women and child development, nutrition, education and child rights.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government is fully committed to the overall development of women and children. He said that with the help of UNICEF, efforts will be made to implement various schemes run in the state in a more effective manner, so that the benefits of the schemes can reach the last person of the society.
During the meeting, topics like nutrition improvement, quality education, child safety and women empowerment were also discussed. The Chief Minister said that continuous improvement in the fields of education and health is necessary for a better future of children.
UNICEF representative Cynthia McCaffrey appreciated the work being done by the Rajasthan government in the field of women and child welfare. He stressed on further strengthening the collaboration between UNICEF and the state government in future.
