India will host Zimbabwe women’s team for a historic first-ever bilateral international series between the two sides in October 2026.
The series, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, will feature three T20 Internationals in Raipur followed by a three-match ODI series in Baroda. The ODI leg will form part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29.
The T20I matches are scheduled for October 16, 18 and 20 in Raipur, while the ODI series will take place on October 23, 25 and 28 in Baroda.
Zimbabwe set for landmark India tour
The tour will mark Zimbabwe women’s first-ever visit to India and their maiden bilateral assignment against the Indian women’s team. While the two nations have never previously faced each other in international cricket, the series is expected to provide valuable preparation for both sides ahead of the next ICC cycle.
Zimbabwe women have expanded their international calendar steadily in recent years and a tour of India represents one of the biggest assignments in the team’s history.
The announcement was part of a wider home calendar unveiled by the BCCI, which also includes tours by Australia A and England A women’s teams later this year. Both visiting sides will play multi-format series featuring T20s, one-day matches and multi-day fixtures.
India’s women’s Under-19 side is also scheduled for a busy home season, with tours by Sri Lanka U19 and England U19 teams across multiple venues.
The Zimbabwe series adds another major bilateral assignment to India women’s growing international schedule as preparations continue for upcoming global tournaments.
