All six franchises in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) have finalized their mandatory pre-draft Breakout Player retentions as they gear up for the 2026 CPL Draft. Each team had the opportunity to keep one player from the Breakout Player category before the draft, with the rest of the roster to be filled during the player draft process.

The players who have been retained include Joshua James for the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, Ramon Simmonds for the Barbados Royals, Quentin Sampson for the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Navin Bidaisee for the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Ackeem Auguste for the Saint Lucia Kings, and Nathan Edward for the Trinbago Knight Riders.

According to CPL regulations, each franchise is required to have three Breakout Players in their final squad and must field at least one of these players in every match throughout the season.
