The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been pushed out of the top three positions of the latest IPL franchise net worth rankings, as per Stockgo.
The new valuation list has become the biggest talking point amongst fans especially when CSK were always considered one of the biggest and most successful brands in the Indian Premier League.
As per the rankings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru stand as the highest valued IPL franchise and is worth 16,706 crore. Even though the team has only won one IPL title to date, the team remains the strongest commercially due to the massive fan base in the globe and sponsorship value as well as reach and enduring presence of Virat Kohli.
Rajasthan Royals stand second at 15,300 crore and Mumbai Indians are at third position with 13,500 crore net worth.
CSK stand at fourth place with 11,300 crore worth.

Why CSK's Brand Value Has Dropped?
CSK are considered one of the most successful IPL franchises, having won five IPL trophies and have one of the most loyal fanbases across cricket. The brand identity of the franchise for many years remained tied to the leadership of MS Dhoni.
Reports say that the commercial appeal has dropped ever since MS Dhoni left the captaincy role. Players like Ruturaj Gaikwad and Dewald Brevis have performed significantly but haven't yet matched Dhoni's marketing power and influence.
Adding Sanju Samson to the squad will be one of the things to see for the coming years as players like them might boost CSK's brand value.
The remaining franchises are: Lucknow Super Giants fifth (10,000 crore) followed by Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings.
CSK Still Alive In IPL 2026 Playoff Race
Even after falling down the rankings for franchise value, CSK are very much alive and in with a chance for the IPL 2026 playoffs.
The team had a rough start to the season losing the first three games but they have come roaring back into form with a series of crucial wins. They have five wins against their name in ten games having lost five also and lie sixth in the table with a positive net run rate.
This has been even more difficult this campaign as Dhoni has been missing all this season so far with a calf injury and the franchise haven't given any definitive word on when he is likely to return.
There are four league games left to be played and the franchise will probably need three wins from them to be in contention for a playoffs spot.
