As part of the corrective steps discussed during the hearing, Sanjay Dutt committed to sponsoring the education of 50 tribal girl children. He also reportedly assured the Commission that projects associated with him in the future would go through stricter legal scrutiny to avoid similar concerns related to the portrayal of women and children.
NCW’s Stand On The IssueNCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar had earlier stated that the dignity of women should never be compromised in the name of creativity.
