Vaibhav Suryavanshi Selected in Indian Under-19 Team: Team India is soon going to play a long series against Australia in India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also made an announcement regarding this series. Although, there is still time for the series to be played but before that the discussion has intensified that India’s young player and explosive batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi may also get a chance in the series.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s name has been in the news a lot in the last one year. Suryavanshi’s bat is going strong in IPL 2026 also. Playing for Rajasthan Royals this year, he has scored 404 runs in 10 matches and remains in the race to win the Orange Cap. BCCI has also announced the schedules of India Under-19, India A and women’s teams.

Series between India A and Australia A

BCCI has announced that two test matches will be played between India A and Australia A from September to October. These test matches will be of four days instead of five. According to the announcement of BCCI, both the test matches of the series will be played in Puducherry from 22 September to 11 October. In this, the first unofficial test will be played from 22 to 25 September, while the second will be played between 29 September to 2 October.

Apart from this, India’s Under-19 team will play three one-day matches against Australia Under-19 team in Rajkot. BCCI said that these matches will be played in the grounds of Rajkot and Ahmedabad. The series will be played between September 18 and October 5. It is being said that Vaibhav Suryavanshi may be given a chance in the Under-19 series.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played in January

Interestingly, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series is to be played in January next year. BCCI has already released its schedule. Before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Australia’s A team will come to India and take stock of the weather and pitches here.

The Border Gavaskar Trophy will start from January 21 next year, which will be played under the World Test Championship. Let us tell you that earlier also in 2025, Australia A team had toured India. At that time many young players were given a chance who had performed well against a team like Australia.
