Kolkata. The biggest incident of post-poll violence in West Bengal is being reported on Wednesday. It is reported that the PA of West Bengal BJP leader and outgoing leader of opposition in the Assembly, Subhendu Adhikari, has been shot dead in Madhyamgram. The name of the deceased is Chandra Nath Rath. Chandra Nath Rath is reported to have been shot several times from point blank range.
Earlier in West Bengal, a BJP worker was killed in post-poll violence. Now the murder of Shubhendu’s PA may increase tension in many areas. After getting information about the murder of Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA, the police reached the spot and are trying to arrest the accused. There were no major incidents of violence before and during the elections in West Bengal, but after the election results, there were some incidents of beating of TMC leaders and vandalism and arson in their offices at various places.
BJP’s West Bengal unit president Shamik Bhattacharya and other leaders have claimed that BJP people have no involvement in the incidents of vandalism-arson of TMC offices and beating of its leaders. Giving the example of an incident, Shamik Bhattacharya had said that TMC people are doing all this with other TMC workers. Now the big question is who killed Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA Chandra Nath Rath?
