MUMBAI- Actress Tanushree Dutta has once again raised concerns over harassment at her Mumbai housing society, saying that retired encounter specialist Daya Nayak became “very strange” towards her after she accused actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment during the #MeToo movement in 2018. Dutta posted that her housing society in Oshiwara, Andheri West, had cut off her kitchen water supply after she refused to allow unidentified workers into her apartment without written communication or proper documentation. The actress, who accused Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of the 2009 film ‘Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss’, said the issues in her building escalated after the #MeToo controversy. A Mumbai court in 2025 dismissed the sexual harassment case and related plea filed by Tanushree Dutta against Nana Patekar. Sharing what she described as an update on her “living situation” in the building society she has lived in for nearly 19 years, Tanushree Dutta said her kitchen water supply had remained disconnected for the past two months. She alleged that over the last year, “random men” had repeatedly been sent into her apartment for plumbing work. “Same excuse of ‘leaking kitchen pipes’ was given to access my home at least 3 times for hours long plumbing work over the last one year. Work was officially complete each time,” she wrote. The actress further stated that she later refused to allow workers into her apartment without “proper procedure and email documentation.” “Then they cut off my kitchen water supply for last two months. I’ve been managing somehow with great difficulty,” she wrote, alleging that building authorities refused to provide written details about the work being undertaken. In another post, the actress referred to a previous “security breach” at her home and questioned the conduct of a police officer who had visited her residence alone and recorded videos inside the apartment. However, it was in the comments section that Tanushree Dutta mentioned Nana Patekar and retired Mumbai Police encounter specialist Daya Nayak. “I think there are criminal organizations that are typically for hire for doing such things. Organizations that work under the radar but are connected with police, administration, politics and judiciary,” she wrote. She further alleged, “Nana Patekar and other Bollywood mafia members must be investigated because by and large all this started after #metoo.” Referring to Daya Nayak, Tanushree Dutta wrote, “There’s a cop called Daya Nayak that stays in my building, he has ties with Nana because Nana played him in a flop film.” She added, “Daya was always responsive and polite whenever he met me at social gatherings because I had also done a film with Randeep Hooda on a similar subject. But after 2018 he became very strange towards me.” The actress also questioned how a police officer could afford a flat in the upscale residential complex and claimed that several members of the film industry owned apartments there. She also made a passing mention of actor Akshay Kumar, stating that he owns a flat in a neighboring building. “A lot has happened here that defies logic or explanation. Even Akshay Kumar owns a flat here next building, just saying fyi,” she wrote.
