Mumbai Shocker: Newborn Baby’s Body Found in Garbage Dump in Chembur

In Mumbai's Chembur area, the body of a newborn baby was found in a garbage dump near Navjeevan Society. After information about the incident was received, police officials reached the spot and began their investigation.
The incident came to light on Tuesday, following which local authorities secured the area. Police personnel remained present at the location while preliminary inquiries were carried out. The discovery of the infant's body has shocked the area. Officials have not yet revealed further details regarding the identity of the newborn. The body was later taken from the scene for further medical examination as part of the legal procedure.
A forensic team also reached the spot and examined the area for evidence related to the case. The newborn's body was sent for postmortem examination to determine the cause of death. According to Zone 6 Deputy Commissioner of Police Sameer Shaikh, a case has been registered and an investigation is currently underway. Police officials are looking into the matter and collecting information connected to the incident. Authorities have not yet shared additional findings regarding the case. Further action will be taken based on the postmortem report and evidence collected during the investigation, officials said.
