Price Hike: Japanese automaker Toyota has increased the prices of popular premium SUV Toyota Fortuner with immediate effect. Under this update, implemented from May 6, 2026, different variants of Fortuner have now become costlier by ₹ 60,000 to ₹ 87,000. The entry-level 2.7-litre petrol 4×2 and some diesel manual variants have seen a price hike of ₹60,000, while the diesel automatic and some special color options have seen a price hike of ₹65,000. The maximum increase of ₹ 87,000 has been made on the top variant GR-S 4WD.

Design and interior

• Fortuner is known for its muscular and commanding design. It has strong road presence with sharp LED headlights, chrome elements and large alloy wheels. Sportier styling elements have been given in the GR-S and Legender variants.
• Talking about the cabin, it comes with a 7-seater layout, which has features like leather seats, ventilated front seats and dual-zone climate control. Its cabin is quite comfortable for long journeys.

Features and safety

• The SUV has features like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, JBL audio system, 360-degree camera and cruise control.
• In terms of safety, it has features like 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control, traction control and hill assist, which make it capable for off-roading also.

Engine and Performance
Fortuner has the option of 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine. Mild-hybrid technology is also provided in the diesel engine. The SUV comes with 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes, with both 4×2 and 4×4 options available.

Talking about mileage, the petrol variant is capable of giving a mileage of around 10.3 kmpl and the diesel variant is capable of giving a mileage of up to 14.6 kmpl.
