Boat capsizes in UP’s Hamirpur, 6 feared drowned

Hamirpur: In a tragic incident, a boat capsized in the Yamuna River in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. At least six of the eight persons onboard are feared drowned in the incident.
As per reports, there was one man, one woman, and six children in the boat. Five children and a woman are feared to have been swept away in the river. They had gone to the riverbank to collect watermelons.
The police officials and other rescue teams have reached the spot after receiving information of the incident. Rescue operation underway to search for the missing people. The incident took place in Qutubpur village, which falls under the Kurara police station area.
