In a video posted to her social media account on May 1, Coco said she and Patrick split in 2018 after a 12-year courtship but remain in touch. During their relationship, Patrick told her that if she met a good man, she should leave and he would let her go so she could be happy. When they broke up, he gave her HK$20 million to support her life.

To Coco, Patrick, is like family. He often checks in and tells her, “If anyone bullies you, tell me.”

The two first met in 2004 in Shanghai, when Patrick was 68 and Coco was 19 and working as a model. She noticed him for his elegant, polished look in a suit.

He invited her to lunch and, the next day, she came to see him off at the airport upon his request as he returned to Hong Kong.

They stayed in touch by phone, and Patrick later invited her to Hong Kong. He arranged for his driver to take her to a hotel, also prepared a designer dress and some of his daughter’s jewelry for her to wear to an event later.

They soon became a couple. At the time, Coco’s English was limited and she was shy, lacking confidence to express herself. Patrick encouraged her to broaden her horizons. He paid for her studies in the U.K. and arranged housing so she would feel secure. The experience helped her realize that “understanding life” mattered more than academics, and she grew into a more confident, adaptable person.

Coco said she was very happy with Patrick and never felt the age gap. While they lived together in Hong Kong, he would wake early, have coffee, and prepare breakfast before she got up.

Coco now runs a business and keeps her personal life private. She says she has never regretted the relationship: “He’s not just my benefactor or mentor, but someone who cared for and loved me like family. I’m grateful to him.”

According to 163Patrick enjoyed a distinguished film career and a colorful romantic life, often described as “charming” and “a man who dates much younger women.” He has described himself as a playboy but insists he is loyal in relationships, giving his all and putting his partner’s interests above his own, therefore not “a lowly man.”

He had multiple relationships and was married twice, to actresses Zhen Zhen and Deborah Lee. He and Lee have two children, including Nicholas, and divorced in 1995.

Patrick entered the entertainment industry in 1953 and became known for his role in “King of Gamblers.” He has also appeared in numerous productions, including “Treasure Raiders,” “The Shell Game,” “The Legend of the Condor Heroes,” “The Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain,” “Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils,” and “Shaolin Soccer.”

His most recent film, “Time,” released in 2021, explores the lives of the elderly. Since then, he has rarely appeared at entertainment events.
