Fans of Good Morning Britain all issued the same complaint on Wednesday morning as a familiar face appeared on screen. With Susanna Reid on a break, Ed Balls was joined by regular presenter Kate Garraway and together they welcomed a whole host of guests, including Kevin Maguire.
However, as the ITV show guest shared his opinions on the world's latest headlines, including discussing Donald Trump and actions from Keir Starmer's Labour party, fans at home were less than impressed. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, they shared their complaints, with many admitting that there were "switching off". One person pointed out the "bias" from Maguire, writing: "Is Kevin Maguire an actual Labour spokesperson? This is getting silly on @GMB #gmb". Another said: "@GMB Maguire, please stfu!! Switches off. #gmb." Someone else shared a GIF of the TV being turned off, adding: "Oscar cough drop and Maguire again ffs #GMB".
It follows reports of ITV bosses facing growing pressure to axe Ed from GMB following a heated on-air clash with Zack Polanski.
Last week, the 59-year-old presenter argued with the Green Party leader over changes to the party's policies ahead of the local elections.
Polanski, 43, later complained about being interviewed by Balls, who is a former Labour Shadow Chancellor and is married to the Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper.
The party leader later reshared a post claiming Balls came across as a "classroom bully" during the heated interview as he insinuated that his interview was biased.
A source told Express.co.uk: "ITV bosses are growing concerned that discussion around Good Morning Britain is becoming more about Ed Balls rather than the important topics of the show itself, and the fact that politicians are bringing his marriage and career up on air isn't helping.
"They're hoping the social media backlash from viewers is going to die down, but it has been a topic of discussion behind the scenes for weeks. They've advised Ed to try and keep his cool on camera, and they're just hoping that a repeat performance of his row with Zack Polanski doesn't happen again."
However, a GMB spokesperson has denied these claims, saying: "Ed Balls remains a valued member of our presenting team. Any suggestions otherwise are categorically untrue."
