The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release the Class 10 admit cards 2026 shortly for students appearing in the Phase 2 board examinations. Once released, students will be able to collect their hall tickets either through their schools or download them from the official CBSE portal, depending on their category. The exams will begin on May 15, 2026, and will continue till May 21, 2026, in a single shift across centres.

CBSE 10th Second Exam Admit card release date update

CBSE will soon activate access to the Class 10 Phase 2 admit cards on its official website. Regular students will not be able to download the admit card directly and will need to collect it from their respective schools. Schools will download the hall tickets using their official login credentials.

Private candidates, however, can download the admit card on their own using their application number or previous roll number through the CBSE website.


This year’s board exam system has added more pressure and more opportunity for students. CBSE has introduced a two-phase structure where the better score from either attempt will be counted in the final result. This makes Phase 2 exams important not just for improvement candidates, but also for students looking to secure a stronger overall score.

  • May 19, 2026: Languages, Home Science, Hindustani Music, Retail, Introduction to Tourism
  • May 20, 2026: Painting, Sanskrit, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence
  • May 21, 2026: Social Science

CBSE second board exam 2026: Number of students appearing

A total of 6,68,854 students have registered for the Phase 2 board exams this year. The breakup shows different categories of candidates:

  • 85,285 students appearing for compartment exams
  • 5,25,655 students appearing for improvement
  • 57,914 students appearing for both categories

Subject-wise participation is also significant, with Science and Mathematics drawing the highest number of students.

  • Science: 4,74,491 students
  • Mathematics (Standard): 3,68,843 students
  • Mathematics (Basic): 1,78,878 students

How to download CBSE second board exam 2026 admit card

The steps are as follows:
  • Visit cbse.gov.in
  • Click on “PARIKSHA SANGAM”
  • Select “Continue” and then choose “Schools (Ganga)”
  • Go to “Pre-Exam Activities”
  • Click on “Admit card for CBSE Phase 2 exams 2026”
  • Enter user ID and password
  • Download and distribute admit cards

CBSE 10th Result 2026 second phase timeline
