Lucknow, Read: Players of the winning Royal Challengers Bangalore have started reaching Lucknow. The team’s veteran batsman Virat Kohli, young star Devdutt Padikkal and head coach Andy Flower reached the city on Monday evening. The remaining players are likely to reach late at night. According to sources, the team will practice at Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
For the match to be held on May 7, the players of host Lucknow Super Giants will reach by Tuesday evening and will take part in the practice session on Wednesday. The performance of RCB, which is ranked second in the points table, has been excellent this season. Kohli has led the team’s batting by scoring 379 runs in 9 matches, while Padikkal (282 runs) and captain Rajat Patidar (257 runs) have also made important contributions.
In bowling, Bhuvneshwar Kumar remains the most successful bowler of the team by taking 17 wickets in 9 matches. In the match between the two teams on April 15, RCB defeated LSG by 5 wickets, in which Kohli played an inning of 49 runs. In such a situation, once again a big innings is being expected from him in this match to be held in Lucknow.
