‘Orange alert’ issued in these areas of Delhi

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued ‘Orange Alert’ for many parts of Delhi in view of the severity of the weather. This includes areas like New Delhi, Central Delhi, West Delhi and North-East Delhi including Shahdara and outer North Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate rain and lightning in these areas for the next few hours. People have been advised to remain alert in view of the possibility of hailstorm.

Delhi weather: Relief from heat, drop in temperature

Meteorologists say that this change has been seen due to the new system active in North India. Due to rain and hailstorm, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius, which is much lower than the normal average for this season. Pleasant weather will remain for the next two days
