Yellowstone star Kelly Reilly had a huge surprise when an old teacher sent in a message while she was on live TV.
The actress - who is reprising her role of Beth Dutton in upcoming spin-off Dutton Ranch - was on The One Show when the teacher got in touch.
Kelly had been chatting to hosts Alex Jones andRoman Kemp about the upcoming series, when Roman said: "We have had some lovely messages and I wanted to get to this one. Liz says, 'I taught Kelly back in the late 80s at Tolworth Girls' School. It's been a joy seeing her career develop. I told you you could do it. Mrs Brown, head of PE'."
"Ah!" said the star, looking touched. "Oh, that's so nice."
She laughed: "It probably wasn't my best subject, PE, but that was very nice of her. Thank you."
Yellowstone ran from 2018 to 2024, with Kelly playing Beth, the daughter of ranch owner John Dutton (Kevin Costner), whose love story with ranch hand Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) was seen by many as the heart of the drama.
New series Dutton Ranch follows Beth and Rip as they start a new life together in Texas.
Asked if she had any idea how huge the modern Western series would become, the star said: "None. No. I mean, you start every single job hoping that someone will watch it and hoping that, you know, you do a good job and that it reaches. But the script was amazing, and it had Kevin Costner."
"It had all the right ingredients, but you just I mean, for it to go six seasons and then to have this spin-off, it's sort of quite a wild ride for me," Kelly continued.
The actress also told how much she enjoyed filming a show that involved horses, as riding was an early passion.
She said: "When we would finish filming on the horses and everyone would get in their cars down the mountain back to their trailers, I'd stay on my horse and I'd ride back down. And it was such a pinch me - for me, from Surrey, England, to be filming in the middle of this extraordinary mountainous range of Montana... It sort of moves you, it's so beautiful.
"And so I just thought, 'I'm not going to have this forever. I'm going to really enjoy it and really soak this in as much as I can'."
She added: "If someone had said to me at 14 when I was with my horse, Charlie, in the field, that I was going to be doing another job and being able to ride, it would have been such a... I wouldn't have believed it."
The One Show airs at 7pm on BBC One.
Dutton Ranch premieres on Friday, May 15 on Paramount+.
