Alert of heavy rain and storm in these 11 states including UP, Bihar, Rajasthan for the next 15 hours

In many parts of the country, severe weather can be seen once again. This is the reason why IMD has issued a warning of strong storm, torrential rain and hailstorm in many states of North and Eastern India on May 6. According to the department, during this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour, due to which there is a possibility of life being affected.

Caution advised in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of bad weather will be seen in 11 states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. There is also a possibility of lightning and thunder in many areas, regarding which people have been advised to take special caution.

Why is the weather changing?

The reason for this change in weather is the different systems formed in the atmosphere. A low level cyclonic circulation is observed over eastern Uttar Pradesh and south-western Rajasthan, while a similar situation is being observed over southern Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, a new Western Disturbance may affect North-West India from May 10, causing further worsening of the weather.

How will the weather be in North India?

There is a possibility of hailstorm along with thunderstorm and rain in the capital Delhi also on 6th May. Here winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour and the temperature can remain between 34 to 23 degrees Celsius. There is an alert of heavy rain and storm in many districts of Uttar Pradesh like Saharanpur, Meerut, Agra, Varanasi and Lucknow.

At the same time, warning of heavy rain and strong winds has been issued in many areas of Bihar including Patna, Darbhanga, Gaya and Purnia. Apart from this, the effect of heavy rains and winds will be seen in many districts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and also. The Meteorological Department says that due to this change the temperature may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, which will provide relief from the heat. However, during bad weather, people have been advised to check the weather before leaving home and adopt safety measures.
