Hyderabad: Aerospace components maker ITP Aero is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Hyderabad with an investment of Rs 453 crore. The foundation stone for the project was laid on Tuesday at Hardware Park Phase III in Shamshabad by Telangana’s Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu.
The facility will be spread across 10 acres in Ranga Reddy district, and will manufacture commercial aviation engine components, including fabrications and machining parts, which the company hopes will support increasing global demand across the civil aerospace market. The plant is expected to be fully operational by 2027.
At full capacity, the unit will employ around 350 highly skilled professionals across precision engineering, advanced manufacturing, and quality control. The company, which has had a presence in Hyderabad for nearly 15 years, says it plans to ramp up its workforce to 600 over time as operations expand.
It is also part of ITP Aero's global ambitions of ramping up capex, having recently has committed €1.2 billion in R&D and capital expenditure by 2030 across its global sites.

The project adds to a growing cluster of aerospace and defence manufacturing investments around Hyderabad, particularly in and around the Shamshabad belt, where proximity to the airport and existing ecosystem advantages have drawn global players.
For the Telangana government, the investment is part of a broader strategy to attract high value manufacturing, deepen supply chains, and create skilled jobs in sunrise sectors. Telangana is pitching itself as a serious global aerospace and defence hub, alongside the presence of global majors like Boeing, Airbus and Lockheed Martin, and a base of over 1,500 MSMEs in precision engineering and defence manufacturing.
