94% families in Baghpat district of UP are covered under Ayushman Bharat scheme. The impact of the scheme is clearly visible from the free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh, more than 123 crore claims and success stories of many beneficiaries.
Lucknow. Due to the effect of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, lakhs of families in Uttar Pradesh no longer have to face financial problems during illness. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, health security in the state has got a new direction. Baghpat district ranks first in the state in better implementation of this scheme. Here, more than 94 percent families have been linked to the scheme against the target.

Now eligible families are getting cashless treatment up to ₹5 lakh every year in government and private hospitals. According to District Magistrate Asmita Lal, Ayushman Card has now become a symbol of hope and security for the people. Under this scheme, more than three and a half lakh people have got benefits in Baghpat. This has also increased people's confidence.

District Magistrate Asmita Lal said that several important steps were taken to achieve the target:
- All old age pensioners linked to the scheme
- Teachers, staff and parents of Shikshamitras included
- Parents of public representatives were also brought under the ambit of the scheme.
With these efforts, Baghpat achieved more than 94% coverage of the target.
