The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) recently honored Evan Speechly, their former Head Physio, who dedicated 18 years of service to the franchise from 2008 to 2025. This farewell marks a significant moment as one of the team's longest-serving members departs. Speechly, a pivotal figure throughout RCB's journey, returned to Bengaluru for a special send-off organized by the franchise, which gathered players and support staff to acknowledge his invaluable contributions.

Virat Kohli led the tributes, reflecting on the strong bond he developed with Speechly over the years. He stated, "I've likely spent the most time with you in the RCB setup. You're one of the original members. Beyond your dedication and professionalism, your kindness, care, and integrity will always stand out. You will forever be a part of this family, and we will cherish your memory always."

Mo Bobat, the Director of Cricket, acknowledged Speechly's significant impact, saying, "Evan has been our lead physio for an extensive period. We wanted to bring him back to honor his contributions, spend quality time with him, and celebrate everything he has done for RCB."

Evan Speechly expressed his heartfelt gratitude and connection to the franchise, stating, "Walking into the hotel yesterday felt like coming home. Many of us have been here for a long time, and RCB has always felt like family. Everyone in world cricket would love to spend even one season here; I’ve been lucky to have had 18. I will always feel a part of RCB."
