An urgent recall has been issued for five products sold at Aldiin the United States.

Several items have been recalled after an urgent public health alert was issued on April 30 by the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Services.

The products contain a dry milk powder that could be contaminated with salmonella.

They include frozen pizzas and pork rinds.

As well as items stocked in Aldi, products in Walmart have also been recalled.

On May 1, the FSIS updated the alert to include additional frozen pizzas sold nationwide.

It added that as the recall progresses more downstream products are expected to be identified.

The FSIS discovered the problem when it was notified that "multiple establishments received ingredients formulated with dry milk powder that had been recalled," the agency says.

There have currently been no reports of any illnesses or reactions.

The pizzas were sold in the freezer section of the supermarkets in the US.

Consumers are being warned not to eat any affected products, even if they're cooked thoroughly.
