Filling new application form, uploading documents or checking application status is completely blocked as main page of portal is not opening or getting ‘error’ continuously. Due to this, thousands of ‘Aaple Sarkar’ Seva Kendra holders in the state are suffering a lot of pain and the digital service system is collapsing.

Regarding this serious technical failure, officials from the technical team of MahaIT explained that there is a technical complication in the database of the server, and data backup and security verification is underway to restore the system. What are the administrative officers saying about this?

Deputy Tehsildar of Borivali Srinivas Jambhale said that as the portal is not opening, even the login in the Tehsil office is not receiving the applications, as a result the verification and approval process has stopped. Naib Tehsildar of Kurla Rakesh Dabhade explained that the digital signature works are pending as the server is down. As soon as the system is re-activated, it will be our priority to post the results of the pending applications and distribute the certificates to the citizens immediately. Citizens should cooperate with the administration till then.

Shahaji Sawant, a member of ‘Maharashtra VLE Samvad’, has expressed concern over this situation. He said, we are desperate as portal login is not happening. Citizens come to the center from far away, but due to technical problems we have to send them back empty handed. Since the work has stopped for the last 72 hours, the central operators are suffering financial losses and facing the wrath of customers. The government needs to pay immediate attention to these technical matters. Due to the lack of certificates, students’ access to education and citizens’ important government work has been stopped, and there is a lot of anger among the common people.
