Emmerdale's April Windsor is set to take the stand at the trial for the murder of Ray Walters, where Bear Wolf stands accused.

As fans of the ITV soap will know, April (played by Amelia Flanagan) was groomed into selling drugs by evil Ray (Joe Absolom), who also tried to force the schoolgirl into sex work.

After being forced into slave labour on Ray's farm, it was Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) who killed the villain, with Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) concealing the murder.

In forthcoming scenes, April will give evidence to help prove that Bear was a victim of Ray's modern slavery scheme and not a culprit, as he also has to prove that Ray's death was an act of self-defense. Paddy and April's boyfriend, Dylan, will also stand trial for perverting the course of justice.

Since arriving in the village back in 2014, April has faced many tough storylines, including the death of her mum Donna (Verity Rushworth). Away from the ITV soap, actress Amelia Flanagan is from a family of soap stars.

Actress Amelia is the older sister of Coronation Street stars Isabella and William Flanagan.

Isabella plays Weatherfield's Hope Stape, daughter of Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine), while William portrays Hope's on-screen cousin Joseph Brown, son of Chesney (Sam Aston).

The talented trio often receives praise for their soap performances. Amelia and Isabella even competed against each other at the 2022 Inside Soap Awards, as both sisters were nominated for the Best Young Performer award. Isabella ended up winning the gong.

Isabella opened up about what it's like to have siblings who are also soap stars. At the awards bash, she admitted to Inside Soap: "There are so many debates at home whenever there are awards ceremonies. Me and my brother are team Corrie and my sister is obviously team Emmerdale, so it does get a bit heated sometimes!"

As April takes center stage in the gripping Ray Walters murder trial on ITV soap, Amelia's age has come up in conversation among fans.

The character of April is presently 16 and was born on 13th August 2009. Regarding actress Amelia, she is currently 17 and will turn 18 on June 6, 2026.

Responding to Amelia's 17th birthday last year, fans expressed their surprise, with one commenting: "Aw thought she was younger, happy birthday chick."

Another chimed in: "I thought that too, a talented performer for sure!"
