New Delhi: Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill continues to grab headlines with his off-field antics in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. After trolling Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) with cheeky social media posts following his side’s victories against them, Gill continued the trend after GT beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday.
Gujarat Titans defeated Punjab Kings by 4 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to bag their third win in a row in the IPL 2026. The hosts rode on a splendid effort from the bowlers and crucial knocks from opener Sai Sudharsan and all-rounder Washington Sundar to beat the Punjab Kings in a thriller and bag their sixth win of the season.
After his team’s victory, Gill continued his trend of post-match banter with a post, where he appeared to be taking a dig at the Punjab Kings. He shared a picture of himself doing a victory pose, linked with PBKS alongside Sundar and Sudharsan. “Bas jeetna hai. Aava de,” Gill captioned the post. For context, “Bas jeetna hai” is PBKS’ slogan.

This is not the first time Gill has come up with cheeky posts on social media following his team’s victory. The trend started after GT beat Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk last month. The GT skipper took to social media to post a picture holding a yellow whistle, referring to CSK’s iconic “whistle podu” symbol. “Nandri Chennai (Thank you Chennai)”, he captioned the post, adding fuel to the fire.
Gill once again grabbed the spotlight with his off-field actions after Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2026 last week. Gill shared multiple pictures from the game, including one featuring RCB star Virat Kohli. “Play Bold @jaseholder98,” he captioned the post. While the caption appeared to be praise for his teammate Jason Holder, Gill’s use of RCB’s “Play Bold” tagline didn’t go unnoticed.
Gill-led Gujarat Titans are currently in the fifth spot on the IPL 2026 points table with six wins in ten matches so far this season. GT are in a solid position as far as the race for the playoffs is concerned and will be looking to continue their winning momentum, having bagged victories in their last three games in a row.
