The counting trend at the time of report indicated TVK leading in 109 out of 234 seats, indicating it to be the best performance in terms of seats and a serious challenge to the dominance of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in the state.

As counting trends went viral on social media, an old tweet from England speedster Jofra Archer gained immense popularity once again. Archer is popular for his uncanny prediction of various future events through his past tweets and this particular tweet has once again become the centre of attraction for users who are sharing the tweet extensively and linking it to the potential huge win for Vijay.

The political entry of Vijay wasn't sudden. His fan clubs, called Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, a major one within his fandom, have created a wide base across the state over the years, with regular social and welfare activities, which includes aid during natural calamities, education support and various other such campaigns.

It was with this base that Vijay announced his political venture in 2024 under Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, with an aim to focus on governance, welfare and job schemes for the people of Tamil Nadu. His popularity translated into political strength.
