Former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait, who has made tremendous improvements in the fast bowling of Bangladesh cricket team, now wants to become the head coach of the Bengal cricket team. Bengal Cricket Board had recently given advertisement for the job of Head Coach, after which many veterans have applied for this post. According to reports, apart from Shaun Tait, former fast bowler Ben Helfenhaus also wants to become the head coach of Bengal. The surprising thing is that Tait's contract with Bangladesh Cricket Board is till the year 2027 but in the meantime he has applied to become the coach of Bengal. Shaun Tate has experience in coaching many teams. This fast bowler has been the coach of Afghanistan, West Indies and Pakistan teams.

These veterans also applied to become head coach

Apart from Shaun Tait, many veteran players of India have also expressed their desire to become the head coach of Bengal. A total of 75 people have applied for different posts apart from the head coach. These include veterans like Manoj Tiwari, Wasim Jaffer, Wriddhiman Saha. According to reports, Wasim Jaffer is the frontrunner in the race to become the head coach of Bengal. Apart from being the most legendary player of domestic cricket, he has worked as a coach with many teams. Jaffer has worked for the teams of Odisha, Uttarakhand and Punjab. He has been the coach of Punjab Kings in IPL.

Lakshmiratna Shukla wants to become head coach again

The current head coach of Bengal Lakshmiratna Shukla wants to remain the head coach and has applied again to remain on this post. Under the coaching of Shukla, the Bengal team has made it to the semi-finals and finals of Ranji Trophy. However, the Bengal team did not win any championship under his leadership. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the Bengal team was eliminated in the group stage itself. Similar thing was seen in Vijay Hazare Trophy.
