US Military Responds to Iran's Allegations
Dubai: The United States military has firmly rejected allegations from Iran that it attacked a US Navy ship.
This denial was issued on Monday as US forces continue their operations in the Persian Gulf region, where they are providing navigation assistance to vessels traversing the Strait of Hormuz and working to counter Iran's blockade on ships lacking its approval.
Iranian media outlets, including the semi-official Fars News Agency and the Iranian Labour News Agency, reported that Iran had targeted a US Navy vessel southeast of the Strait of Hormuz, accusing it of breaching maritime security and navigation regulations.
