Lucknow : In the month of Jeth, there is severe heat in Uttar Pradesh. This time it is starting with rain. According to the India Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance has become active, due to which rain, thunderstorm and lightning-hail have started in many districts from Monday. There will be a decrease of 2 to 6 degrees Celsius in the maximum and minimum temperatures in the state. Due to which the people of the state will get relief from the scorching heat. On Monday, there was rain at many places including Agra, Aligarh, Kanpur, Lucknow.

Possibility of hailstorm in these districts: Alert has been issued in Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad and surrounding areas.
The mood of the weather changed in Gorakhpur in no time in the afternoon. After bright sunshine in the morning, sudden darkness followed by heavy thunder and lightning has started raining. In such a situation, on one hand, due to strong winds and rain, common people have got relief from the scorching heat and the weather has become pleasant. Children are also enjoying the rain.
The weather in Agra took a turn late on Sunday night, due to which the sky became cloudy. Late night there were strong winds and drizzle. Trees were broken due to the storm in rural areas. The weather has become pleasant again on Monday morning due to drizzle and wind. The weather department has predicted that similar weather will prevail in Agra till May 6. There is a possibility of storm and rain till May 6.

The weather suddenly took a turn in Aligarh on Monday. While the rain that started late at night gave relief to people from the scorching heat, there was cold winds and dark dense clouds. People who were troubled by the humidity and strong sunlight all day, were seen feeling relieved by this change. There was a sudden strong storm late on Sunday night, due to which dusty winds blew in many areas. Only after this it started raining, which continued intermittently till Monday morning.
The weather changed in Balrampur from Monday afternoon and a day-night scene was seen. There was torrential rain with strong winds. The district administration has predicted heavy rain and lightning along with lightning at some places for the next 3 hours. The administration has appealed to the citizens not to leave the house unnecessarily and not to stand under the trees during the rains.
Meteorologist Dr. Atul Singh said that due to the active Western Disturbance, there may be light rain in some districts of Uttar Pradesh and heavy rain at some places along with wind speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. There is also a possibility of hailstorm in some districts. The weather will continue for the next 2 to 3 days.
Once again a U-turn of weather was seen in Kanpur city from Monday morning itself. Due to rain since morning along with strong cold winds, the weather of the city changed and the heat subsided. Meteorologist says, at present this type of situation will continue till Tuesday, there will be intermittent rain, along with this the winds will also blow at high speed.
